Dear Friends,

Mongolia is an unbelievably beautiful country, and today I am very happy to introduce The Nature of Mongolia Photo Exhibit of the talented Mongolian photographers U. Ganbayar and E. Erdenebayar.

We Mongolians have a deep respect for our history, our ancestral lands, the nomadic lifestyle and our Buddhist traditions. I am excited to present these images of the Legendary Mongolia as seen through the cameras of our photographers, and to share our impressions with our American friends.

Mongolia, because of its geographic inaccessibility, has had limited opportunities to exhibit its heritage in the United States. These forty photographic studies focusing on nature will help familiarize Mongolia among our American friends. We will pursue future exhibits to assure continued exposure of this rich culture and land. The sale of the photographs and donations will aid in our endeavor.

We are grateful to His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, for his generous financial support making this exhibit possible. Also, we want to thank Arjia Rinpoche for his encouragement and efforts, and Vince DeBiase for donating his gallery and professional skills for this event.

The famous Mongolian scholar, Injinash once said "If you are a hero, you're a hero for one generation. If you are wise, you are a hero forever." My wish, for our photographers, is that they be wise and that their arts eternally renowned.

Yours truly,

Sh. Baatar Ph.D.
